Les raisons invoqu\u00e9es pour expliquer cet \u00e9puisement professionnel g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9 sont principalement li\u00e9es au macrocontexte du monde du travail : des \u00e9v\u00e9nements cruciaux comme la pand\u00e9mie, l&rsquo;isolement des travailleurs \u00e0 distance, les p\u00e9nuries de personnel dues \u00e0 la \u00ab grande d\u00e9mission \u00bb, la r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts par les employeurs et le fait que les travailleurs sont toujours \u00ab en ligne \u00bb en raison des technologies de communication &#8211; autant de conditions qui contribuent \u00e0 la surcharge de travail, \u00e0 l&rsquo;effacement des fronti\u00e8res entre le travail et la vie priv\u00e9e et au stress au travail. Outre ces macro-externalit\u00e9s, l \u00ab \u00e9puisement professionnel est \u00e9galement d\u00fb \u00e0 des cultures de travail malsaines au niveau m\u00e9so-environnemental de l&rsquo;organisation.
